In winter months, the flume slide trail is extremely ice and difficult. The descent starts shortly after the summit of Mount Liberty. Flume slide is steep and requires rock scrambles. The flume slide trail is a very steep but gorgeous trail that begins just after the Flume Visitors center. The Flume Slide Trail is so treacherous that you should only climb it going uphill.
